STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

For my project, I am starting with elements of street photography whilst hoping to incorporate portraiture too. I am aiming to capture people on the street expressing their raw emotions. I also want to capture long exposed pictures and mainly focus on photography at night to enhance the beauty of lights in the city. 

The main aspects of my project are: street, portraiture, the night, night lights, colours. I visited Manchester city centre on multiple occasions so I was guaranteed the shot I wanted to capture. I didn’t want to stay in Bury because there’s not much nightlife and I wanted to photograph a lot of light and a big crowd of people- 3/9/21.

For my project, I captured homeless people, the current places they sleep, and where they have been. I have been to Manchester mainly- during the day and night, to capture what their lives are like now. I have experienced more than i expected and I have met some amazing people along the way. I chose to photograph homeless people to hopefully make a difference and help in anyway I can because no-one deserves to be homeless- no matter their situation- 3/5/22.
